Dear Foodies
It fills us with pride to be able to market and distribute the olive oils from El Labrador in Switzerland. Not just because these oils have won so many awards and enjoy a position of great prestige among gourmets, we are also proud because we can offer you products that are the result of a rich knowledge borne from six generations of experience. The entire López family, in particular Andrés López López and María Montero Espinosa have worked and continue to work relentlessly to make oils of the highest quality. The unparalleled intense flavours of these oils are the result of such efforts. We wish you the greatest enjoyment with the olive oils from El Labrador.
effell gusto gmbh was founded in 2015 with the aim of distributing first-class delicatessen products in the Swiss market. The olive oils from EL LABRADOR, which are distributed under the trademark of LA LAGUNA DE FUENTE DE PIEDRA® have won numerous awards and are considered a delicacy among gourmets.
The olive oils
The López family have been tending to the olive groves of “Fuente de Piedra” for over six generations. The groves are in a nature reserve in the Spanish province of Málaga and they are grown the traditional way. The olives are harvested mostly by hand, starting in the first half of October when the olives are at their optimum point of ripeness.
The López family only uses its own olives to produce the award-winning olive oils of EL LABRADOR. The extra virgin oil is made from the first cold press of selected fruit on the day it has been harvested. It is then bottled under the names of Arbequina, Gordalilla and Vidueña depending on the variety of olive. The acid content of the oil is under 0.1 percent. They are available natural or filtered and vary in colour and flavour depending on the variety and how ripe the fruit is.
EL LABRADOR has gained an excellent reputation with its trademark LA LAGUNA DE FUENTE DE PIEDRA® both at home and abroad. The high quality of this extra virgin olive oil wins awards at major competitions time and time again.
