Antioxidants
Antioxidants are natural or synthetic substances that protect the cells in the human body against oxidation or delay the process, and thereby preserve the tissues and cells as well as their function. They bind so-called free radicals, which are unstable highly reactive forms of oxygen that can cause damage to the membranes of human cells. The fat-soluble vitamin E is an important natural antioxidant for the human body.
